Security Audit
If you subscribe to the belief that "ignorance is bliss" then
this is not the service for you. Our security audit will tell
you more about your network vulnerabilities then you thought
possible. The difference between us and other security
companies is that we'll tell you the least expensive way to
solve them.
Here's how it works. We'll start off with a port scan of your
IP address which will tell us how many access points that you
can be attacked from. Then we'll query your machine to find
out what operating system your running, using that
information, our "white hat" will start running some exploits
on your machine. Finding out which exploits work will tell us
what OS patches have been installed, what patches need to be
installed, and even more important how to protect your network
from future attacks.
Think were done yet? Think again. No good security audit would
be complete unless we also asses the risks to your network
from the inside. Did you know that Ninety-one percent of the
companies polled in 2001 detected employee abuse of Internet
access privileges (for example, downloading pornography or
pirated software, or inappropriate use of e-mail systems). It
may surprise you to find out that the greatest risks to your
network doesn't come from hackers, but from your own
employees! A hacker has to work at getting inside your
network, a disgruntled employee already has access to it.
Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
Are you a branch extension of a large corporation, or are you a
local business with more than one location? Either way, if you
need to securely transfer data back and forth with your
headquarters or branches we have the solution for you, it's
called Virtual Private Networking, and here's how it works. A
VPN is an extension of your own network, across the internet,
and connected to the computers at other locations. This is done
through a process called tunneling, which allows the computers
to act as if they're connected directly on the same network,
with no public domain between them. For added security the data
is encrypted so that no one who is not authorized to accept the
data can read it.
